GOALS, GOALS, GOALS

I want to write them down. I feel so much clarity at the moment and who knows how long that will last.

I spent the first years of my life doing what I thought I had to do. I worked hard, but it exhausted me.

I spent the next few years, living a selfish in the moment type of life. It relaxed me, but turned me into a bit of a sloth.

I want to spend the next years making my own decisions, but working towards a future.

GOALS - save money for a trip to another country in 2012 or 2013. Rent a 2br apartment or condo by January 1, 2011, in the range of $1300-2000 per month. Start to try to conceive near October, November of 2010.

OTHER GOALS: continue to tithe, pay back my parents, pay back school loans.

PRAYERS: Get into Grad School, Oscar Graduate, Both get good jobs, or raises.

The Good Old Days

I know we can ponder time until we are blue in the face and still not understand it. I like pondering time though. I like knowing that I don't understand and that God does. There is a reason why time is racing by one day, yet another moment it goes by so slowly. It makes me warm to know that my Dad was my age once and my grandpa was my age once too. If God wills it, I will one day be his age too.

I love looking at the hairstyles, the genuine looking smiles, the background. Where were they? What were they laughing about? How, I wish I could look as carefree and natural, laughing on the beach with my friends. I wonder if childhood lasted a little longer back then or if you were expected to be an adult even sooner, or maybe there was a combination of the two.

Whenever I see little kids, I like to sing. It makes me sad when a 3 year old thinks he/she is too old for singing little kid songs. I am not too old at 22. Why do we want to grow up so fast anyhow? And why do we act so old when we are so young? I love life and I think this picture shows an innocence. I adore it.

Whistle a Happy Tune

Lately, I have been seeing a lot of Disney (with my oldest client) and there are a few videos I would like to post which are encouraging songs that I enjoy.


Grew up listening to this one. I really like Hayley Mills and when the parents laugh, it's so old fashioned and I adore it.


I was so sad, I couldn't find "I Whistle a Happy Tune" from the King and I, but this was pretty cute. Anyways, this is a song I would definitely hum when feeling afraid, at least in my head. I did this as a child and could imagine teaching it to my children as well. lyrics HERE

2 small apples (red delicious, gala, fuji, rome, use mixture if possible)

I have been wanting to do this for a long time it looks so easy. I think healthy snacks will def. be seeing more of our refrigerator this year. :)

Popping Up Some Flavor

So, Oscar and I haven't had a microwave since we've got married. This is a blessing in many ways. But, one thing I've missed is popcorn.

I've wanted to buy an air popper, but it hasn't happened. However, I have determined to buy one off ebay this month with my ehow money and I am excited about this new endeavor.

Honestly, the air popped popcorn my mom made never tasted very good to me. So, I looked up ways to flavor it and got all excited. So, all the info, I'm listing is found at Popcorn Recipes

These are some of my favorite ideas

1) Flavored Cooking Spray (butter, olive oil, garlic)

2) Add Cinammon (using cooking spray to make it stick or olive oil) - also sugar and salt.
